Seriously those bunch of buildings will be simply overly usless once modding kicks in and if no buildings are doable with the tools it simply means the modding tools are usless hence what we already see nexl is able to pull off without those tools already.

Who has ever said that you can't make new buildings with the tools?

Personally, I won't buy this game anymore until they fix the camera. Every time I think about going and playing CitiesXL I think about that stupid camera and how much it sucks. I did add the Camera Mod, and that did give me a few extra steps in the view, but was extremely jittery. And frankly the fact that there are programmed steps in the views that stop you from controlling the camera the way you want is a constant reminder of a 'bug' that I totally hate.

Other bug fixes would be nice too, but I suck at the game, so those don't affect me much. I can't get very far in a city having to view it using that camera anyhow..

Snacko, care to explain a bit more precisely? How does the camera stop you from building your city? I haven't noticed anything that would disturb my road-laying, zone placing, or general planning in any way.

It's mostly just annoying because this is the only game I have played that forces you to certain zoom levels. So I put in that camera mod and that let's me zoom to more levels, but it is really jerky. So, I don't like either one. If we could just zoom in and out smoothly to any distance that we wanted, and not have it stop at all, that would be 'normal' in my opinion.

It's not that I cannot play the game and lay roads, it's that the zoom works so strange that I just hate it...

Have you tried the mouse wheel? For the rest of us it works to zoom in and out smoothly.

That's what I am talking about. I do use the mouse wheel, but it zooms and stops at a certain zoomed in spot. I zoom in one more notch and it goes a little closer to another predefinded spot. There are only about 3-4 spots it lets me zoom too.. Doesn't it do that for you? You have 'total' control over the distance of your zoom???

Here in this video he shows what I mean. He can only zoom to what looks like 7 predefined levels. Only the first 3 are very close. Why limit the zoom to stop at specific spots. I would like to control my own zoom in and out...

I tried the Camera Mod. It is very jittery and too sensitive to mouse movements. It flies all over the place with minor mouse movements for me.

Well, it works perfectly fine for me. I'm able to move the camera anywhere I want with no limitations. The only con is that with certain viewpoints, shadows disappear, but that's the only bug that's ever happened to me.

Really?? I am surprised.. Why am I limited to only those set zoom levels like in that video?? Is there an option somewhere to turn that off? I thought everybody had that happen to them. I complained about this when CitiesXL first came out, and also when CitiesXL 2011 came out, but nobody told me that did not happen to them. Maybe you have to see it in that video to know what I mean?? Argg....
