For those trying to get the expansion on steam, but without having bought the original game on steam, this can be done - you must use the activation code from your existing game to activate it on steam - these posts show how:

What if I have a retail copy of CXL2011, but the current installment is a downloaded copy? Will I still be able to upgrade my game?

There is no official Focus shop really. They simply redirect you to a section of Gamesplanet.com that has Focus logos all over it, but make no mistake, you are buying from Metaboli / gamesplanet.

I am really hoping that you will also be able to buy the expansion on Steam as my impression of metaboli and gamesplanet last year was that players did not get their codes, didn't get responses from them when activation codes were not issued etc.

Personally I would not shop there myself, and to be completely honest, unless there is some suggestion that they have massively improved their ordering process and customer support I would also suggest that you don't shop their either.

Please understand, I want people to buy the game, but I have clear memories of what customer experiences were like last year and the amount of anger that was vented here. I would rather you bought the game from a reliable shop.
