is there a torrent anywhere?

I'm a paying user but the manual download is ridiculously slow. It's 2011. Let's grow up and create an official torrent. It has to be activated anyways, so it can only help market the game if people try and hack it.

$15 for new maps and better buildings is worth it as someone who builds on Expert mode for fun. The game is not what anyone was hoping for overall, but it is still the best city simulation available. Even if they just copied the Sim City 4 economic model it would be awesome, and the frame rate can be bad, but the graphics are still the best a city simulation game has ever had.

I should bet Oliver and some guys a few days earlier.
I was right. Despite I was joking, but said the truth:
The modding tools won't make us able to create own buildings. Though they are really COOL - they require a high-end soft!

3DMax is available for free. If only people started surfing XLNation a bit more...

Depends on what your definition of "for free" is. I, for one, won't risk downloading a pirated version of a $3,500 software. That's a felony.

What do you expect people do then? It's extremely hard to find a legal, free version of this program.

Me, I'm not going to download it after all. I've heard it is extremely complicated to use and in some cases it won't even work. Plus, I don't want to risk getting any viruses, which I'm sure most torrent sites are full of.

I think the best idea is just to wait and see if there is ANY way to get this for free in a legal way. I seriously doubt this however.

Be aware considering purchase of this game.
I asked 'support' a week ago to clarify some game issues, to help me make a better informed decision about a purchase.
They have not responded.

Be prepared to 'go it alone' and/or rely on forum only support if you want to buy...

We already discussed this. Autodesk doesn't have the 2008 version, which is needed for 2012.

No thats outstanding, i think this hole multi core situation become legendary, and even when it will be fixed, i suppose there will be a lot of people asking this question :D

And if multicore support some day is implemented, people will be asking why didn't this help at all? When we have a gradually lowering performance during a playing session, adding more processing power won't make the problem with gradually lowering performance go away. Why, oh why can't so many people get this?

That said, it's time to start tonight's session! :)

I saw it use 2 threads and I put one thread on core 1 affinity and the other on core 2 affinity, using the other 2 cores for background tasks, iTunes, and firefox. One thread is huge (will take up the entire core if given the opportunity) and the other is rather small.

I am glad that I pre-ordered it. This game is really fun! Somehow, it is semi-compatible with Unlocker Mod v4 (since I used it for 2011 version last year).
