I've been trying and trying but I get error messages.

The original bridges are closer together which makes me think the files were modified (collision boxes) to allow for it to happen in game.

This is right
I delete all CollisionBox
This bridge is made by four parts

Tell us how :!:

Did you delete the collision boxes for all bridges? Is it a mod file you can share?

EDIT

I totally figured it out! Didn't have to mod any files either. And it works with the bridge height mod as well.

I never knew about the glitch with building the bridge back over itself.

This just took my game in another direction.

Not sure how you did the thing with the metro tracks though.

Jumonji,
waiting for chisuki's explanations, can you help us to understand the "Chisuki method" to build the doubledecker?
Anyway, i think that the picture that chisuki posted will be interesting for the NEXL team...

In my opinion, what chisuki created was very much like in Sydney. The double decker train and highway in circular quay and the kingsford smith airport.

I also tried to delete the collision box layout file. The result will be like the following picture. I can build the bridge much closer.

Wow, that is simply amazing. The bridge is wonderful, but I'm more interested in how you got those buildings in the background. Did you make them yourself, or did you download them from somewhere?

How do you go about deleting the collision box files?

I don't know the "chisuki method" actually. I used the "ongkengchai method" to test with.

His kung fu is better for now.

@jumonjii: Thank for your compliment. I just found a file that control the collision box and delete some content inside that file. Then I made a mod. It turns out to be working. Note that in the picture I posted above using only this mod without any other mod (I afraid my mod will crash, so I removed everything else temporarily). It turns out building the double decker bridge is much easier, since no collision will happen around the bridge. However, there is still some minor problem with that mod.

P.S. This is my first mod ever made.

Maybe a modder on here could help you. I know nothing on where the collision box files are or how to delete them and make them work in the game.

At any rate, I used the tutorial you posted.

Here is a TRIPLE decker bridge:

Looks like the forum trimmed the picture a bit.

Look great! I see you use a farm road as your "ruler", isn't it?

In my option, the real challenge is about joining the those road to other road system, which always consume much of mine time. You can try it out and I will be happy to help if you need one :)

Yes, I used a farm road as ruler.

The easiest way to attach the upper decks...... if you are connecting to ground level, is with the water roads.

The triple decker bridge will probably never be used in my cities.... maybe across a river... but other than that, no.

The only problem I am experiencing now is that I can't seem to create another double decker bridge. Like I can only have one in the city.

Maybe because I'm not using the modified collision box files.
