Any tips on installing these mods, I've tried what it says and it just says "failed to download, retry?". What do I do? I'm using 64-bit Windows 7.

If it says something like that, it means that there's something with your browser, or with the server you're downloading from. Have you tried downloading the mod with a different browser?

I've tried the tree mod and the no box cars car mod on both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Now, it says download complete, but it won't show up when I look at the folder I saved it in, nor will it show up in the game. What do I do?

Windows 7 - 64-bit

Do you have an appropriate program that can open .zip and/or .rar files?

Depends. If it's a .zip/.rar file, you need Winzip. If it's just a patch, you can just place it into your .Paks folder.

Its just a patch and I do place it on my .Paks folder, but it won't work still. It won't even show up when I go back to the .Paks folder, even though it said download complete when I downloaded it.

So just to get this straight: it does show up in your download folder, but when you move it, it just doesn't work?
